The James Frederic Carr Memorial Cup is given to the graduating senior who best combines the qualities of character, scholarship and leadership. It was established as a memorial to James Frederic Carr, a former student of William & Mary who lost his life in World War I. The award is given out during the Commencement ceremony each May.
