Vernon L. Cubby was a member of the staff at William & Mary

Obituary Announcement

From a Faculty and Staff Announcement Email from Vice President for Administration Anna Martin on June 11, 2012:

"It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the death of Vernon L. Cubby, a former employee in the Facilities Management Department. Vernon passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2012 after a lengthy illness.

Vernon began his career at the College in September 1992 as a HVAC Installation and Repair Technician in the Department of Facilities. Vernon was a dedicated employee until April 2010 when he retired on long-term disability. Vernon leaves behind his wife Willett Cubby who is an employee in the Department of Facilities.

In celebration of his life, the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Mission Deliverance Temple Church of God in Christ located at 6560 Crumpler Rd., Ivor, VA 23866. The funeral will be held at the church on Friday, June 15 at 12:00 pm.

The family is accepting donations. They may be sent to the Cubby Family in care of Sterling Brook Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9380 Windsor Blvd., P.O. Box 726, Windsor, Virginia 23487."
