Wilford Kale (1944- ) attended William & Mary from 1962 until 1967, and graduated in 1971 from Park College, Kansas City, MO. He is the author and co-author of several books, including: Goal to Goal: 100 Seasons of Football at William & Mary; Hark Upon the Gale: An Illustrated History of the College of William & Mary; Davis Y. Paschall: A Study in Leadership; The College of William & Mary 1693; Traditions, Myths, and Memories, 1693-1993: Celebrating the Tercentenary of the College of William & Mary in Virginia; and Private Homes of Williamsburg Today. Kale wrote articles for The Flat Hat and other publications while he was a student at William & Mary. He also worked for the Richmond Times-Dispatch from 1968 until 1993, and became Bureau Chief for the paper in 1973. He joined the Virginia Marine Resources Commission in 1994 and served as senior staff adviser to the Commissioner and as part of the senior management team.
