The William & Mary Choir is an undergraduate ensemble of about seventy members who represent a wide array of disciplines. The Choir makes over thirty appearances during the year singing at most of the formal events of William & Mary, including Convocation, Homecoming, the Sunset Ceremony, Yule Log, Charter Day, and Commencement. On campus, the major concerts for the Choir are the Holiday Concerts at the end of Fall semester, and the Spring concerts in late April. In addition, every third year the Choir gives the George Clayman Concerts--a series devoted to the major choral/orchestral repertory. The Choir also takes an annual, regional, five-day Spring Tour held in mid-March.

Related groups include the Glee Club and the Chorus.

Directors of the Choir are faculty in the Department of Music. Past directors have included Carl Fehr and Charles Varner.

A note about the contents of this site

This website contains the best available information from known sources at the time it was written. Unfortunately, many of the early original records of William & Mary were destroyed by fires, military occupation, and the normal effects of time. The information in this website is not complete, and it changes as we continue to research and uncover new sources.
